Traditionally a holiday cake, the Gubana is made according to ancient traditions. As a dessert cake it is not linked to a specific season anymore, and can be served with vanilla ice cream in Summer or Grappa in the Winter. Soft oven baked pastries filled with dry fruits and nuts.
